SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Student Veterans Association (SVA) at Lawrence Technological University (LTU) will bring a bit of autumn to the beginning of springtime with a fundraising event.
The group’s Annual Scholarship Event, with an “Oktoberfest” theme, will raise money for veterans to continue their education at LTU. It will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 18 at Farina’s Banquet Center, 2485 Coolidge Highway in Berkley.
Tickets in advance are $40 each or $70 for two, and will be $45 and $75 respectively at the door. Tables of 10 tickets are available for $350
The event will feature a German dinner with an open beer bar, with a DJ for entertainment. There will also be a raffle and silent auction, as well as a brief presentation on the LTU SVA’s activities.
