Ridler Field House offers variety of fitness classes

Friday, September 24th, 2010

A new series of fitness classes got under way at Ridler Field House Sept. 20, but it’s not too late to sign up and enjoy the benefits of belonging to a group of students, faculty, staff and alumni who are dedicated to better health.

Classes are designed to help participants trim down, relieve stress, and most importantly feel better. All regular participants will receive a free t-shirt, not to mention numerous health benefits from regular exercise.

“You can stay motivated this semester with the help of the class atmosphere,” said Scott Trudeau, director of Recreation, Athletics and Wellness at Lawrence Tech.  “Just show up and you will be told what to do with some fellow students, alumni, and colleagues.”

Classes run 8-12 weeks, and participants may join at any time during the semester. Participants at all fitness levels are encouraged to join. All mats and equipment will be provided.

The classes are free to all Ridler members. Anyone interested in trying out a class prior to becoming a member can get a two-week free guest pass from Trudeau or Assistant Director Don Gillette.
