December news at Lawrence Tech Library

The library has recently purchased a collection of 45,000 electronic books on a variety of topics including architecture, engineering and drama criticism.  The library staff is in the process of loading the titles into TechCat, the library online catalogue. To access the books in the meantime, visit eBrary Academic Complete. You will also find the link to the eBrary collection from the library home page under Books and Articles on the left, then Books and Ebooks.

Library Product Trials

The Lawrence Tech Library currently has  trials for the following digital products:

  • Until Dec. 15 –
    • Web of Science (complete package) a cited reference index covering sciences, social sciences, arts & humanities
    • Endnote® Web (available only on campus) the web-based version of the bibliographic management tool Endnote
    • Until Dec. 26 –
      • Project Muse, Humanities package includes “journals with critically acclaimed articles by the most respected scholars in their fields.”

The trials are available to all current Lawrence Tech faculty, staff and students. To access the trials, click on the product name above or link from the library home page. Endnote Web is currently available only to users on campus. Watch the library home page for updates. If you try Endnote Web, remember to export your citations to RefWorks or an alternative before Dec. 15.
