Marburger witnesses milestone at Manoogian High School

Friday, November 13th, 2009

manoogian.ribbonLawrence Tech is continuing its relationship with Manoogian High School in Southfield, where juniors and seniors are eligible to take a few engineering and calculus courses at the University. Last month President Emeritus Richard Marburger (second from R) participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of the new Manoogian High School building, which was financed by Richard Manoogian and his sister, Louise Manoogian Simone. The school is named after their father, the late Alex Manoogian, who was famous for developing the single-handed Delta faucet and founded the school 40 years ago. Lawrence Tech awarded him his first honorary degree. Marburger is chairman of the high school’s board of trustees.
