Spotlight on online subscriptions: The Lawrence Tech Library has recently added a site license for the electronic version of The Chronicle of Philanthropy. The publication focuses on a variety of funding opportunities including:

capital campaigns, major gift solicitation, fellowships & research support, grant applications, nonprofit management, principles of social responsibility, etc.

It is especially recommended for:

• Development officers looking to raise money and increase donations.
• Faculty members searching for fellowships and research support.
• Professors teaching nonprofit organization management, social enterprise, and principles of corporate social responsibility.
• Directors of career centers who make it a primary resource for anyone pursuing positions at nonprofit organizations.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy is now available both on and off campus for all current Lawrence Tech faculty, staff and students. Find it through TechCat, the library online catalogue at http://library.ltu.edu or bookmark the following link.

What’s happening with newspapers? Electronic versions of the Detroit Free Press - (http://detroitfreepress.mi.newsmemory.com/) and the Detroit News - http://detroitnews.mi.newsmemory.com/ are now available on campus. Bookmark the links or find them through TechCat. These two subscriptions are only available on campus and are limited to three users at a time. 

What’s new in science? Stay current with the latest advances in science through Nature, one of the world’s foremost science journals. Look up Nature as a periodical title in TechCat or bookmark this link:

Articles prior to the current year, going back to 2000 are available through the database “Expanded Academic ASAP” in the Alphabetical List of Databases.
