This program will be effective each academic year from September through June.

For the first time in the University's history, the Office of the President and CEO will recognize an employee who has made a significant contribution to the department during the previous month. Eligible employees include all full-time and part-time staff, faculty and administrators excluding vice presidents, the provost and deans. Campus Dining and Campus Facilities employees may be considered for this award.
 
To be considered, candidates must have a professional and personal attitude aligned with University mission and values and has made a significant contribution in one of the following areas:

1) Exceptional Attendance
2) Exemplary Customer Service
3) Implementation of a project/program/partnership that will benefit department objectives
4) Any other contribution which the nominator believes is noteworthy
 
Nominations will be accepted from the candidate's supervisor or other executives at a similar level or higher, colleagues and peers within the University. Candidates may nominate themselves; and those associated with third-party organizations are also invited to submit nominations. However, please note, that nominations submitted by anyone other than the candidate's direct supervisor or senior executive in the university must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from that supervisor or senior executive.
 
Recommendation letters should be emailed to hrcompetitions@ltu.edu with "Employee of the Month Letter of Recommendation" in the subject line.
 
A selection committee comprised of the president, provost, vice president of Finance and executive director of Human Resources will review the submissions and select the Employee of the Month. Winners will be recognized by President Moudgil.
