LTU Awards for New Students


To qualify for a CoAD Portfolio Scholarship, a student must be qualified for a scholarship at one of our current university scholarship levels (Lawrence Tech Honor, Trustee, or Trustee Grant Eligibility is limited to students entering programs within the College of Architecture and Design as freshmen or as undergraduate transfers (architecture, interior architecture, graphic design, industrial design, game art, and transportation design).

Submit all portfolios to no later than 5:00 p.m. EST, February 1, 2017. All entrants will receive a notice of receipt of their portfolios by February 7, 2017.

This year's competition has two categories of submission: high school and entry-level college students. The high school program welcomes submissions from artists 16 years or older who are currently enrolled in a high school in the United States or Canada. The entry-level college program welcomes submissions from all artists who are currently in their first or second year of study in a community college in the United States or Canada.

Artwork can be submitted between January 1 and February 1, 2017. Complete the entry form and print and sign it. Attach the form to your artwork, package your entry carefully, and deliver or mail it to Kate Roy, College of Architecture and Design, Lawrence Technological University, 21000 West Ten Mile Road, Southfield MI 48075-1058. The application window for Private Donor Scholarships (formally called Upperclassman Scholarships) is NOW OPEN! ALL current LTU studentsare eligible to apply for scholarships at before March 1, 2017.


2016 Ed Donley Graduate Achievement Award

The Lawrence Technological University Alumni Association annually honors one male and one female graduating student for excellence in academic, community, and campus leadership.Lawrence Tech's faculty and staff are invited to submit nominations for the award; students may nominate themselves or a fellow graduating student. Awardees will be selected according to the following criteria:
